About IloveVideo
IloveVideo is a free, browser-based suite of video tools built around one principle: your files should never leave your device. Every operation — conversion, compression, trimming, cropping, audio extraction, HLS packaging, and more — runs entirely inside your browser tab using FFmpeg compiled to WebAssembly.
There is no server receiving your uploads, no cloud storage holding your footage, and no account gating any feature. Open the page, drop your video, and get your output. That's it.
What makes IloveVideo different
No upload, ever
Most online video tools upload your file to a remote server, transcode it there, and stream the result back to you. IloveVideo never does this. Your file is read directly from your local drive, processed in RAM inside your browser tab, and written straight to your downloads folder. Nothing leaves your device at any point.

FFmpeg is the gold-standard open-source multimedia framework trusted by YouTube, VLC, Handbrake, and thousands of professional tools. IloveVideo compiles it to WebAssembly so it runs at near-native speed inside your browser tab. You get the full encoding pipeline — H.264, H.265, VP9, AAC, Opus, HLS, GIF, and more — without installing any software.
Free with no hidden limits
Every tool on IloveVideo is free. There is no file size cap, no daily processing limit, no queue, and no subscription tier. The only practical limit is your device's available RAM. No account or email address is required to use any feature.
Works everywhere
Because everything runs in the browser there is nothing to install or update. IloveVideo works on Windows, macOS, Linux, iPhone (Safari), and Android (Chrome) as long as the browser supports WebAssembly — which every modern browser has done since 2017.

Technology
IloveVideo is built on FFmpeg.wasm, an Emscripten-compiled port of FFmpeg that runs in any browser with WebAssembly support. The frontend is built with React, Vite, and Tailwind CSS. The workflow builder uses React Flow.
Because FFmpeg runs single-threaded in WebAssembly, it is somewhat slower than a native desktop application on the same hardware. For most common tasks — converting a short clip, trimming a video, extracting audio — the difference is not noticeable. Long encodes of large files may take a few minutes on an average laptop.

IloveVideo collects no personal data and does not require an account. Your video files are processed entirely in your browser's memory and are never transmitted to any server. The only data that leaves your device is standard browser telemetry that your browser itself may send (e.g. crash reports), which IloveVideo has no control over.
